Description:
Soroush Dalili has discovered a vulnerability in SmarterMail, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.

The problem is that attached files are placed inside the web root and have a predictable URL. This can be exploited to upload malicious HTML or script files, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site, when the malicious file is viewed.

The vulnerability has been confirmed on version 2.0.1733. Other versions may also be affected.
