Description: iDEFENSE has reported a vulnerability in various ZoneAlarm products and Check Point Integrity Client, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an invalid pointer dereference in vsdatant.sys within the hook for the "NtConnectPort()" kernel API. The problem is that the second argument (ServerPortName) isn't verified as a valid pointer before being dereferenced.
Successful exploitation crashes the system.
