CVE-2005-0480
CVE-2005-0481
CVE-2005-0482

Description:
Luigi Auriemma has reported some vulnerabilities in TrackerCam, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and script insertion attacks, disclose system and sensitive information, bypass certain security restrictions, cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise a vulnerable system.

1) A boundary error in the handling of the "User-Agent" HTTP header can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by supplying an overly long "User-Agent" header (more than 216 bytes) in a HTTP request.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

2) A boundary error in the PHP argument handling can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by supplying an overly long argument (more than 256 bytes) to an arbitrary PHP script.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

3) The "ComGetLogFile.php3" script is not properly protected against being accessed directly. This can be exploited to disclose some system information (e.g. incorrect logins).

4) Input passed to the "fn" parameter in "ComGetLogFile.php3" isn't properly sanitised before being used to view log files. This can be exploited to disclose arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks.

NOTE: In combination with vulnerability 3, this does not require any authentication.

5) Input passed in a login request is not properly sanitised before being logged. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious login data is viewed with e.g. the "ComGetLogFile.php3" script.

6) An error in the handling of negative values in the "Content-Length" HTTP header can be exploited to crash a vulnerable service by sending a large amount of requests (about 300) with a negative "Content-Length" header.

7) An error in the communication handling can be exploited to crash a vulnerable service by sending a large amount of data (more than 10 MB).

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 5.12 and prior.

Solution:
Filter access to the HTTP server or use another product.
