Description: farhad koosha has reported a security issue in aeNovo, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information.
The problem is that the database file "dbase/aeNovo1.mdb" is located inside the web root. This can be exploited to disclose sensitive information (e.g. the administrator password).
Solution: The vendor includes strict instructions in the product help files, which advise users to rename the database and/or folder when installing the product.
Provided and/or discovered by: farhad koosha
Changelog: 2005-07-22: Updated advisory.
