Description

farhad koosha has reported a vulnerability and a security issue in betaparticle blog, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions and disclose sensitive information.

1) The database file is located inside the web root, which can be exploited to e.g. disclose the administrator's username and password.

The security issue has been reported in versions 4.0 and prior.

2) It is possible to upload and delete files/images without authentication by accessing the scripts "upload.asp" and "myFiles.asp" directly.

The vulnerability has been reported in versions 3.0 and prior.

1) Deny direct access to the database file or move it outside the web root.
