Description: A vulnerability has been reported in Sylpheed, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when displaying messages containing attachments with MIME-encoded filenames. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via a specially crafted message.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code when a malicious message is displayed.
The vulnerability affects versions 0.8.0 through 1.0.3 and development versions 1.9.0 through 1.9.4.
