Description: Two vulnerabilities have been reported in Internet Junkbuster, which can be exploited by malicious people to manipulate certain information, cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise a vulnerable system.
1) An error in the "ij_untrusted_url()" function can be exploited to modify the referrer settings by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted URL through the proxy.
Example:
http://[host]?a?a?[REFERRER]
Successful exploitation requires that the proxy is configured in single threaded mode (not default setting).
2) Some errors in the filtering of URLs can be exploited to corrupt the heap and crash a vulnerable proxy.
This may also be exploited to execute arbitrary code.
