Description
ShineShadow has discovered two vulnerabilities in Argosoft Mail Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and script insertion attacks. 1) Certain input passed in mails is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious mail is viewed. Example: The "src" parameter in the "IMG" tag. This is related to: SA13571 2) Input passed to certain parameters in the user settings isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site. The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 1.8.7.6.
