Description:
Two issues have been reported in leafnode, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The problem is that the fetchnews program fails to properly handle if an upstream NNTP server closes the connection when receiving an article header or body. This causes the fetchnews program to crash.

This affects versions 1.9.48 through 1.11.1.

Solution:
Update to version 1.11.2.
