Description: dave has reported a vulnerability in Fusion SBX, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions and compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to insecure use of the "extract()" function in "index.php". This can be exploited to bypass the authentication process by setting the "is_logged" parameter.
This can further be exploited to execute arbitrary PHP script code via e.g. the "maxname2" parameter.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.2 and prior.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that the authentication process is performed properly and ensure that input is properly verified.
Provided and/or discovered by: dave
Changelog: 2005-05-19: Added CVE reference.
