Description:
Exoduks has reported some vulnerabilities in MidiCart PHP Shopping Cart, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks.

1) Some input isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site.

Examples:
http://[host]/shop/search_list.php?chose=item&searchstring=[code]
http://[host]/shop/item_list.php?secondgroup=[code]
http://[host]/shop/item_list.php?maingroup=[code]

2) Some input isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

Examples:
http://[host]/shop/search_list.php?chose=item&searchstring=a%'[code]
http://[host]/shop/item_list.php?maingroup=-99 '[code]
http://[host]/shop/item_list.php?secondgroup=-99 '[code]
http://[host]/shop/item_show.php?code_no=99 '[code]

It is also possible to disclose the full path to "search_list.php", "item_list.php" and "item_show.php" by accessing them directly.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.

Provided and/or discovered by:
