Description: eric basher has reported a vulnerability in datatrac, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the communication handling. This can be exploited to crash a vulnerable service by sending a specially crafted overly long text string.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.1. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Filter access to the listening port.
