Description: Slackware has issued an update for ncftp. This fixes an old vulnerability, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error and can be exploited to place files in arbitrary locations on the user's system via directory traversal attacks.
Successful exploitation requires that a user is tricked into connecting to a malicious FTP server.
