Description: Maksymilian Arciemowicz has reported some vulnerabilities in PostNuke, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks, and disclose sensitive information.
1) Input passed to the "module" and "riga[0]" parameters in "index.php" and the "start" parameter in "modules.php" isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
NOTE: Exploitation of the "riga[0]" parameter requires administrative privileges.
2) Input passed to the "skin" parameter in "index.php" isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources.
Example:
http://[host]/source/html/index.php?module=Xanthia&type=admin&func=addTheme&authid=&skin=[file]%00
3) Input passed to the "skin" and "paletteid" parameters in "demo.php" and the "serverName" parameter in "config.php" isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site.
It is also possible to disclose the full path to certain scripts by accessing them directly.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 0.750 and 0.760RC3, and prior.
Solution: Update to version 0.750b.
