Description: jsk:exworm has reported a vulnerability in gxine, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error in the handling of hostnames in HTTP URLs. This may be exploited to execute arbitrary code by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted HTTP URL.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.41, 0.42, 0.43 and 0.44. Other versions may also be affected.
