Description:
Shaun Colley has reported a vulnerability in Picasm, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the error handling and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by tricking a user into assembling a specially crafted file.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code with the privileges of the user running Picasm.

The vulnerability has been reported in versions 1.12b and prior.

Update to version 1.12c.
