CVE-2006-7136

Description:
A vulnerability has been discovered in PHP Poll Creator, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "relativer_pfad" parameter in "poll_vote.php", "poll_sm.php", "lib/functions.inc.php", "poll.php" and "poll_kommentar.php" isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from external and local resources.

The vulnerability is confirmed in version 1.04. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.

NOTE: The vulnerability was inadequately fixed in version 1.0.3 as it is possible to define the "relativer_pfad" variable via e.g. a cookie parameter (confirmed version 1.0.3 and 1.0.4).
