Description: Kevin Finisterre has discovered a vulnerability in ViRobot Linux Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the setuid cgi-bin file "addschup" when processing the received cookie and can be exploited to insert arbitrary commands into the root user's crontab file.
Successful exploitation makes it possible to execute commands with root privileges, but requires the ability to connect to the server's webadmin port.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 2.0. Other versions may also be affected.
