Description:
Nobuhiro IMAI has reported a vulnerability in Ruby, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.

The vulnerability is caused due to an insecure default value in "utils.rb". This can be exploited to bypass security protections and execute arbitrary commands via an application providing XML-RPC services using XMLRPC.iPIMethods.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.8.2. Prior versions may also be affected.

Apply patch for version 1.8.2.
