Description

James Bercegay has reported some vulnerabilities in UBB.threads, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks, and disclose sensitive information.

1) Input passed to the "Searchpage" parameter in "dosearch.php", the "what" and "page" parameters in "newreply.php", the "Number", "Board" and "what" parameters in "showprofile.php", the "fpart" and "page" parameters in "showflat.php", the "like" parameter in "showmembers.php", and the "Cat" parameter in "toggleshow.php", "togglecats.php" and "showprofile.php" isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

2) Input passed to the "Number", "year", "month", "message", "main", "posted" and "Forum[]" parameters isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

3) Input passed to the "language" parameter isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources.

It has also been reported that it is possible to trick a user into performing certain actions while being logged in by following a specially crafted link from a malicious website or mail.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in versions prior to 6.5.2 Beta.

Solution
The vulnerabilities have been fixed in version 6.5.2 beta.
