Description:
c0ntex has reported a vulnerability in Documentum eRoom, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks and compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of shared files. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary code on another user's system via a specially crafted ".lnk" shortcut file, or execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site via a specially crafted HTML document.

Successful exploitation requires that the eRoom plugin has been installed on the client.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 6.x. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
The vulnerability has reportedly been fixed in version 7.3.
