Description: kcope has discovered a vulnerability in MDaemon, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the "AUTHENTICATE LOGIN" and "AUTHENTICATE CRAM-MD5" commands and can be exploited to crash the service.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 8.0.3. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 6.8.6, 7.2.4, or 8.0.4.
