Description:
SGI has issued a patch for SGI Advanced Linux Environment. This fixes multiple vulnerabilities, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to potentially perform certain actions on a vulnerable system with escalated privileges, by malicious users to bypass certain security restrictions, and by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service), overwrite arbitrary files on a user's system, gain knowledge of various information, or compromise a vulnerable system.
