Beskrivelse:
Max Vozeler har rapporteret en sårbarhed i pstotext, som kan udnyttes af ondsindede personer til at kompromittere et sårbart system.

Sårbarheden skyldes, at pstotext ikke benytter parameteren "-dSAFER", når GhostScript kaldes for at udtrække tekst fra PostScript-filer. Dette gør det muligt for en ondsindet PostScript-fil at eksekvere vilkårlige kommandoer på et sårbart system.

Sårbarheden er rapporteret i version 1.9, men andre versioner kan også være berørte.

Løsning:
Benyt kun pstotext til at udtrække tekst fra PostScript-filer, der haves fuld tillid til.
