Description:
Hat-Squad has reported a weakness in NetBackup, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The problem is caused due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the NDMP mover agent and can be exploited via a specially crafted NDMP CONFIG message to crash the current listening child process spawned when the connection attempt was made.

The weakness has been reported in version 5.1. Other versions may also be affected.
