Description: Dino Dai Zovi has reported a vulnerability in Metasploit Framework, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the "StateToOptions()" function in msfweb that allows the "_Defanged" environment variable to be overwritten with user-supplied values. This can be exploited to bypass the "defanged" mode restrictions to run vulnerability checks and exploits from the system, or to manipulate local files and run arbitrary commands.
