Description:
Peter Winter-Smith of NGSSoftware has reported a vulnerability in Novell eDirectory, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in iMonitor when processing HTTP requests and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by requesting a resource with an overly long name in the "nds/" folder.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges.

The vulnerability affects version 8.7.3 for Windows.
