Description: Florian Weimer has reported a vulnerability in the Linux kernel, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the "xdr_xcode_array2()" function when encoding or decoding XDR arrays. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via specially crafted XDR data for the nfsacl protocol.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 2.6.12. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 2.6.13.
