Description: Steve Scherf has reported a security issue in Linksys WRT54GS, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.
The security issue is caused due the router allowing wireless clients that are not using any encryption to access the wireless network even when WPA Personal/TKIP wireless security setting has been enabled.
Successful exploitation may require that "Restore Factory Defaults" is not used after performing a firmware upgrade.
The security issue has been reported in firmware version 4.50.6. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: The security issue has reportedly been fixed in version 4.70.6.
