Description: A vulnerability has been reported in PCRE, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an integer overflow in pcre_compile.c when handling the minimum quantifier of a parenthesized subpattern. This can lead to memory corruption and can potentially be exploited for code execution via a specially crafted regular expression.
