Description:
Sven Tantau has reported a vulnerability in mplayer, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a error when handling the "strf" stream-format header for audio data and may be exploited to cause a memory corruption via an overly large value in the channel parameter.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.0pre7 and prior.
