Description: A vulnerability has been discovered in vBulletin, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct cross-site request forgery attacks.
The vulnerability is caused due to the application allowing users to perform certain actions via HTTP GET requests without performing any validity checks to verify the user's request. This can be exploited by a non-privileged user to gain escalated privileges when a logged in administrative user views a malicious forum post containing an image link that causes the administrative user's browser to load an URL that performs certain administrative actions (e.g. lifting a ban).
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 3.0.7. Other versions may also be affected.
