Description:
vade79 has reported two vulnerabilities in Adobe Version Cue, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

1) The setuid program "VCnative" allows users to specify arbitrary libraries for loading with the "-lib" command line arguments.

2) The setuid program "VCNative" creates log files insecurely, which can be exploited via symlink attacks to overwrite arbitrary files with root privileges.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code with root privileges.

The vulnerabilities affect versions 1.0 and 1.0.1 for Mac OS X with Version Cue Workspace installed.
