Description:
Sowhat has reported a vulnerability in LeapFTP, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when handling a site queue file (.lsq) containing an overly long host name. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow and may allow execution of arbitrary code.

Successful exploitation requires that the user is tricked into opening a specially crafted ".lsq" file in LeapFTP or by double-clicking on it in Explorer.

The vulnerability has been reported in versions 2.7.0 through 2.7.5.

Solution:
Update to version 2.7.6.
