Description:
Debian has issued an update for maildrop. This fixes a security issue, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.
The security issue is caused due to lockmail being installed with the setgid flag and not dropping this group permission before executing an external command. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary commands with privileges of the "mail" group.
