Description: Sowhat has discovered a vulnerability in BNBT EasyTracker, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in handling certain malformed HTTP requests and can be exploited to crash the server.
Example:
"GET /index.htm HTTP/1.1\r\n:\r\n\r\n"
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 7.7r3.2004.10.27. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: The project is reportedly no longer being maintained. Users should update to the official BNBT development release.
