Description:
rgod has discovered a vulnerability in phpLDAPadmin, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "custom_welcome_page" parameter in welcome.php is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local and remote resources.

Example:
http://[host]/phpldapadmin/welcome.php?custom_welcome_page=[file]

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 0.9.6c and also reported in version 0.9.7/alpha5. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
The vulnerability has been fixed in version 0.9.7-alpha6.
