Description:
basher13 has discovered a vulnerability in COOL! Remote Control, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to error in handling certain malformed requests and can be exploited to crash the server via a malicious request sent to port 11980/tcp.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.12. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Restrict access to the service.
