Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Turquoise SuperStat, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the date parser, which uses "sscanf()" to read the month value. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow and may allow arbitrary code execution.

Successful exploitation may require that the user connects to a malicious NNTP server.

The vulnerability affects version 2.2.3. Prior versions may also be affected.
