Description

trueend5 has discovered some vulnerabilities in Noah's Classified, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks, disclose sensitive information, and compromise a vulnerable system.

1) Input passed to the "rollid" parameter in "index.php" isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

2) Input passed to the "rollid", "inf", "upperTemplate", "frommethod", and "method" parameters in "index.php" isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

3) Input passed to the "otherTemplate" parameter in "index.php" isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

4) Input passed to the "lowerTemplate" parameter in "index.php" isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from external and local resources.

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.

It is also possible to disclose the full path to "gorum/category.php" (accessing it directly) and "index.php" (via invalid "list" parameter), and to disclose certain information by triggering a SQL error via the "str" parameter passed to "index.php" when performing a search.

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 1.3. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised and verified.
