Description: Seth Fogie has reported a vulnerability in vxFtpSrv, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service), or potentially to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in handling an overly long user name. This can be exploited to crash the server, or potentially to execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability has been reported in 0.9.7. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Restrict access to the server.
