Description:
sullo has discovered a vulnerability in Alkalay man-cgi, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "topic" parameter in "man-cgi.cgi" isn't properly sanitised before being used in an "exec()" call. This can be exploited to inject and execute arbitrary shell commands via the "|" pipe character.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in the latest available version. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
