Description: Nenad Jovanovic has reported a vulnerability in Serendipity, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site request forgery attacks.
The vulnerability is caused due to the application allowing users to perform certain actions via HTTP POST requests without performing any validity checks to verify the user's request. This can be exploited to change a user's username or password.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.8.4 and prior.
Solution: Update to version 0.8.5.
