Description: rjonesx has discovered a vulnerability in Xeobook, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks.
Input passed to various fields when signing the guestbook isn't properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious guestbook entry is viewed.
Example:
<b onmouseover=[code]>text</b>
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 0.93. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Configure Xeobook to not allow any HTML tags:
admin.php -> [2] allowed tags
Provided and/or discovered by: rjonesx
Changelog: 2006-01-19: Added CVE reference.
