|
|
Description: Two vulnerabilities have been reported in AL-Caricatier, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security protections.
1) Insecure authentication process in "ss.php" can be exploited to access the administration section without being authenticated by setting the "cookie_username" cookie parameter to "admin".
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 2.5. Other versions may also be affected.
2) Input passed to the "CatName", "CaricatierID", and "CatID" parameters in "view_caricatier.php" isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 2.5. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised and administrators are properly authenticated.
