|
|
Description: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in oaboard, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks and to compromise a vulnerable system.
1) Input passed to the "channel" and "topic" parameters in "forum.php" isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
2) Input passed to the "inc" and "inc_stat" parameters in "forum.php" isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from external and local resources.
Successful exploitation of vulnerability #2 requires that "register_globals" is enabled.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 1.0. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
Provided and/or discovered by: 1) Abducter
2) Aliaksandr Hartsuyeu, eVuln.
