Description: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in MG2, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and script insertion attacks, and disclose potentially sensitive information.
1) An error where images in password protected folders are not properly protected can be exploited to list images in password protected folders without being authenticated.
Example:
http://[host]/index.php?list=*&page=all
2) Input passed to the "name" parameter when adding a comment isn't properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious user data is viewed.
3) Input passed to the "list" parameter in admin.php (when "action" is set to "import") is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 0.5.1. Other versions may also be affected.
