Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in VERITAS Cluster Server for UNIX, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in several SUID root applications (e.g. haagent, haalert) when handling the VCSI18N_LANG environmental variable. This can be exploited by malicious users to gain root privileges on an affected system.

The vulnerability has been reported in the following products:
