Beskrivelse:
Claudio "Sverx" har identificeret en svaghed i Internet Explorer, som kan udnyttes af ondsindede personer til at lokke brugere til at besøge et ondsindet website ved at obfuskere URLs der vises i status baren.

Problemet er at browseren ikke viser den korrekte URL i statusbaren hvis et billede hyperlinkes, men der benyttes en form til at specificere URLen. Dette kan forårsage at en bruger følger et link til der umiddelbart peger på et site der haves tillid til men faktisk åbner et ondsindet site.

Svagheden er en variant af:
SA13156

Eksempel:

Svagheden er bekræftet på et fuldt patchet system med Internet Explorer 6.0 og Microsoft Windows XP SP2.
