Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Novell NetMail, which can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the IMAP server when parsing certain long verb arguments. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow.

Successful exploitation allows arbitrary code execution but requires a valid logon.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 3.52D. Prior versions may also be affected.

Solution:
The vulnerability has been fixed in NetMail 3.52E FTF (Field Test File) 1.
